While spring break is usually filled with hanging out in swimsuits and lounging in the sun, every choir member has the opportunity to have a different experience. From Thursday, March 11 to Tuesday, March 16, choir will be taking a bite out of the big apple and will be visiting New York City as their annual choir trip.
“We’re going because New York is one of the cultural centers of the U.S for fine arts,” Junior, Avery Rabon said.
Choir will be viewing many of the city’s fine art events.
“We will be going to the Fine Arts Museum, the Today Show, and the Empire State building. We are also going to see the Broadway shows, Jersey Boys and Mary Poppins,” Rabon said.
Each member has their own opinion about which attraction will be the best.
“Why not be excited about going to New York? I’ve never been before, and I’m really excited about seeing the Broadway musicals and the Museum of Natural History,” Sophomore, Jacee Sinner said.
Not only will the choir be acting as tourists, but they will also be performing.
“We will be singing ‘Oh Lord, In Thee Have I Trusted’, ‘Sing and Chant It’, ‘Good Night Ladies’, and ‘Psalm 23’ at a big cathedral,” Rabon said.
Overall, the students are very excited about the fun trip they will be attending.
“It’s going to be an awesome choir trip and a good way to spend time with close friends,” Rabon said.
